Obietnica, directed by Tomasz Śliwiński and based on a short story by Olga Tokarczuk, is an emotionally charged film that explores themes of love, loss, and redemption. The protagonist, Eliza Rycembel, portrayed with raw vulnerability by Agnieszka Grochmal, embarks on a journey to find her missing husband, Janusz (played by Andrzej Chyra).
The film opens in the small Polish village where Eliza and Janusz reside.
